The current record, according to Guinness World Records, stands at 34 hours, 5 minutes, and 55 seconds, set by a team in Britain in September 2024. The new 36-hour attempt has been completed and now awaits official verification by Guinness.

“They're tired. It's been a long night,” said Mark Olson, husband of team member Geneva Olson, in an interview with KWTX-TV. Despite the physical and mental challenge, the players remained focused on their goal.

Beyond the record-breaking attempt, the event also served a meaningful cause. The team raised over $18,000 for the Taylor’s Gift Foundation, an organization that promotes organ donation and supports donor families.

Mark Olson shared the personal motivation behind his wife’s participation:
“We’ve got four daughters, and she wants to prove to her daughters that she can do anything, and they can do anything they put their mind to. She’s been the kind of person that if there’s something she wants to do, she puts her mind to it and gets it done.”

The 36-hour match demonstrated not only endurance and teamwork but also a strong sense of purpose. The Pickle Breakers hope their effort will be recognized by Guinness World Records and will inspire others to combine their passion with a cause.
